An uniform
reduces the barrier that might be created between students who come from
various social- economic backgrounds and it reduces the possibility that a
section of students would discriminate another based on what they wear.
Moreover, schools are
not the only place where uniforms are needed. There are many institutions like
hospitals and clinics where doctors are expected to dress according to their
profession and then there are volunteers who work for organizations- their
uniform being a part of their professional identity. Sportspersons do have to
wear uniforms as well- just they are also known as jerseys.
Whatever the case
may be, they are garments of everyday wear and have to be comfortable so that
people can spend long hours wearing them without any discomfort. On the other hand,
they need to be durable at the same time- regular wear has to be washed and
ironed every day for work and it needs to stand the test of time. A good design
and cut are all it takes to make children like their uniform and feel
comfortable in it.
